"How unpleasant!"

Kuriyama Mirai is a first year high school student in a small town in Japan. She is slight, stands at five feet even, has light brown eyes and short strawberry blonde bordering-on-pink hair. She might very well be the definition of cute. Besides her school uniform, she wears an oversized pink cardigan and a pair of red framed glasses. The attentive will notice bandages and a gold band when her right hand is visible.

Mirai is the last of a clan of Spirit World Warriors, those that hunt youmu. She has inherited her family's ability to control and weaponize her blood. She usually manifests this in the form of a sword drawn from the pinprick wound on her right hand, but she can also scatter it. Her blood is corrosive, but this is neutralized by the limiter ring. Weaponizing her blood for extended periods of time leaves her anemic.

Mirai lives in an apartment by herself and has to work to make ends meet. It's not the best situation for a young teenager, especially with her overwhelming interest in bonsai and reluctance to actually hunt youmu. Her normal state of being is flat broke, ravenously hungry, and probably whining about it on her blog or, thanks to Milliways, her T-Minus (laconicKilljoy, color d63333).
